A funeral Mass for Teresita Duenas Blas, 71, of Killeen, will be at 9 a.m. today at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Cremation will follow with an inurnment at 3 p.m. Friday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mrs. Blas died Nov. 29, 2013, in Killeen. She was born Nov. 1, 1942, in Tamuning, Guam, to Joaquin and Veronica Santos Duenas. She was a member of St. Paul and was active in the church, where she was a teacher for CCD as well as a member of the Solidarity Daughters of San Vicente. She had been in the area since 1980.

Mrs. Blas was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, James K.D. Blas.

Survivors include her husband, Jesus Cruz Blas; sons, Patrick Blas, Jesse D. Blas and his wife, Judy; daughters, Jessann D. Blas and her wife, Katharine, Dina M. Blas and Alvina Palacios and her husband, Paul; seven grandchildren; five brothers; and six sisters.

Visitation was held Dec. 3 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
