Funeral services for Theresia Gabriela Spring, 94, of Harker Heights, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Chong Hasong Catholic Church in Harker Heights. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
Mrs. Spring died Dec. 29, 2017, at Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights. She was born June 9, 1923, in Wels, Austria, to Karl and Barbara Mitterndorfer.
Theresia met her husband, Leonard, during World War II while he was stationed overseas. They moved to the United States in 1954, finally settling in Killeen in 1966 where she was a homemaker and provided child care.
Theresia enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time with loved ones, and watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.
Theresia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leonard Spring; and 18 siblings.
Survivors include a son, Karlheinz Leifels of Linz, Austria; two daughters, Linda Cooley-Martin (Greg) of Nolanville and Debra Havens of Harker Heights; four grandchildren, Karin Wintersberger (Roland) of Linz, Austria, Lance Cooley (Natasha) of Austin, Kelli Kelley (Chase) of Harker Heights, and Kyle Havens (Elizabeth) of Nolanville; and three great-grandchildren, Martina Wintersberger, Peyton Kelley, and Cash Cooley. She is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
