A Mass of Christian burial for Toni V. Ferrell, 67, of Kempner, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove with Father Chris Downey officiating. Burial will follow at noon at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
Mrs. Ferrell died Feb. 26, 2014, in Copperas Cove. She was born Oct. 22, 1946, to the late Anthony and Mary Capece Callor in Price, Utah.
She attended school at Carbon High in Price, graduating in 1964. She also attended Loretta Heights College in Denver, and later moved to Salt Lake City.
In July 1980, she married Terence Ferrell, who was serving in the U.S. Army. After they married, they traveled with the military throughout the world. They moved to Texas in 1991, and retired in 1995. She was the office manager for Professional Counseling in Copperas Cove and Killeen, retiring after more than 20 years.
Mrs. Ferrell was a foster mother to many kids, training other foster parents and worked tirelessly with CPS. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove teaching CCD classes. She also volunteered with the Copperas Cove High School Copperettes for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Ferrell; daughters, Krista Ferrell, Amanda Cermak and her husband, Santi, Bonnie Ferrell and Amanda Jolly; brother, James Callor and his wife, Annette; sister, Patricia Meeks and her husband, Forrest; grandchildren, Damarion Ferrell and Jonathon Ferrell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coryell County Rainbow Room, c/o Gloria Schmitz, 1324 Eagle Trail, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.
Visitation is from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday with a rosary following at Scott’s Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, which is in charge of arrangements.
