Services for Warren “Keaton” Cook III, 20, of Fort Hood, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Killeen.

Mr. Cook died Dec. 25, 2013. He was born Sept. 10, 1993, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Katherine Paris and Warren Cook Jr.

While his father was serving in the U.S. Army, the family relocated to Fort Hood in 1995.

He was best known for his love of sports. He began playing basketball at age 4 and continued along with baseball, football and track. He attended Harker Heights High School until he became sick and then continued working on his education at Pathways.

He had a gentle soul with a big heart. He often played jokes just to see his family and friends smile.

Survivors include his two sisters, Kaitlin Paris and Kasandra Hegwood; maternal grandparents, Christine and Donald Paris; paternal grandmother, Ginger Seals; his aunt, Lynn Marie, and uncle, Jim Paris; two nieces; Justice and Jordan; nephew, Jaydon; and cousins: Jessica, Cody and Austin.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Heritage Funeral Home in Harker Heights, which is in charge of arrangements. Offer condolences at
