It is time to break out my crystal ball again and let you know what is in store for the 2013 football season. Please remember, though, that my crystal ball is a 20-year-old, hazy marble that I found in my sock drawer when I went home for Christmas a few years ago and these 10 predictions are not set in stone, unlike the piece of gum that was also in the drawer stuck to a Ryne Sandberg baseball card.
10. Last year, I said Johnny Jefferson would run for 2,000 yards. I was wrong. Jefferson had the best season in the history of Shoemaker, but the best ever in KISD? That belonged to Killeen running back Daniel McCants. Now, the undersized senior back will be looking to be even better as he tries to distract Division I recruiters from his small stature. Look for McCants to break his own record and possibly, yes, the 2,000 barrier.
