The Greater Killeen-Fort Hood USBC Association will be hosting a “Welcome 2 Bowling” clinic at each of the centers this month.
This will be a special opportunity as a new league bowler to meet new people and improve your game.
The clinic will provide you the opportunity to have time on the lanes with a USBC-certified coach.
The clinic will operate at Hallmark Lanes on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Phantom Warrior will have the clinic on Jan. 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Bowlerama on Jan. 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bowlers Journal International reported that The International Bowling Campus has created a new event aimed at giving senior bowlers, age 60 and older, additional competitive opportunities.
The ITRC Super Senior Classic will take place Oct. 30-Nov. 1, immediately following the 2013 USBC Senior Queens (Oct. 24-29), at the International Training and Research Center in Arlington.
“There is a growing base of ‘super senior’ bowlers that have been asking for competitive events, and we are pleased to provide this new opportunity,” said Pete Tredwell, USBC Managing Director of Membership and Events. “The ITRC was a tremendous host to the Senior Queens this year, so it’s the perfect venue for this new tournament.”
The event will feature two days of qualifying, followed by a third day with a cashers round and stepladder finals. Competition will be streamed live on BowlTV all three days.
The field will be limited to the first 56 entries and is expected to sell out, Tredwell added.
On Saturday, Phantom Warrior Lanes will host a scratch tournament at noon.
The men’s Travel League standings through set 20 have Westview Wranglers in first place in District 1 with a record of 51.5-28.5.
District 2 has Max Attack Pro Shop on top with a 45-35 mark.
The next stop is Sunday at Bowlerama.
See you on the lanes.
