Matt Cannizzaro with USBC Communications recently wrote about a Texas team that nearly took over the regular team lead during the USBC Open Championships in Reno.
Cannizzaro wrote, “The 3,500 mark was reached by just two teams in the first 109 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, and it now has been eclipsed twice in one week at the National Bowling Stadium. Junior Team USA Support 1 of Mansfield, Texas, rolled games of 1,063, 1,205 and 1,253 at the 2013 USBC Open Championships on Sunday to move into second place in Regular Team with a 3,521 total, the third-highest score in tournament history. Lodge Lanes Too of Orlando, Fla., leads with a record 3,538.”
