Northeast Killeen is in decline — and the city’s elected officials and administrators can’t afford to let it continue.

Last week’s announcement that the IGA Foodliner on Rancier would close its doors at the end of August will only serve to hasten the deterioration of what had once been one of Killeen’s more upscale residential areas.
