To the Editor:

On Thursday, “Obamacare” was repealed by the new GOP-controlled Congress. From now on, it is being called “Trumpcare” because they are making changes.

The Republican Congress and Mr. Trump are now in charge of all of our health care. Also, he and his administration are planning to turn Medicare into a “voucher” plan. This means retirees will be given a certain amount of funding for health care and when that is gone, you will have to pay for any other care.

If you are unable to pay, your property, a ranch, house, farm, savings, etc. can be taken to help pay for extra care you need.

If you want to read a story about it read the January 2017 copy of Seniorific, It is a small monthly paper for seniors. Scott & White in Temple has them early every month, or go to SeniorNews.net or call 1-800-736 7350 and get a copy of the January paper. It is on the front page.

I am sure the Herald will also be covering this, so stay tuned.
