To the Editor:

I normally agree with most of Mr. (John) Sammis’ letters and views, but his letter (March 22) about presidential lies is, in my opinion, wrong.

Our current president has made promise after promise — a few of which he has made good on.

In my opinion, a good number of the lies are not really lies but naive attempts to put forward a socialist agenda — an agenda that a large portion of the United States does not want.

The Affordable Care Act (i.e. “Obamacare”) is probably the largest combination of naivety and lies foisted on the people of the United States by the president.

The naive part is that everyone in the United States or even the majority of people are willing to pay exorbitant premiums for health care to support health care for those who do not now have it.

Also naive is the thought that the health care industry will not take advantage of Obamacare for its own gain.

The lies have been statements like “you can keep your doctor.”

Then there is “you can keep your plan, period.” Another lie from the president, one that affects my grandchildren, is “the Affordable Care Act reduces the deficit.”

The increased costs to consumers are only beginning to show up, and it will get worse.

Other presidential “lies”:

“The Republicans don’t care about people,” and “the Republicans are hurting the middle class.”

Both show the president wanting to make deeper the divisions between the parties and the divisions of the people.

The Republicans have a different view of the United States, one that includes all people adding value to the nation, not taking from the nation and adding nothing of value, as the Nanny state envisioned by the president does.

Another “lie”: “The recession is over.”

Tell that to the people who are still out of work. The books are being cooked for the unemployment rate as more folks drop out of the workplace altogether and then are not counted.

The real unemployment rate is double digits in this jobless recovery. There are more lies and naive statements from the president — which call into question his honesty and his basic qualifications as president.

That person as I remember was the Soviet Union's Nikita Kruchev and
he said it, not a rumor.

There was a rumor that the Uniteded States would be destroyed from with-in and I believe this is coming true. Obama has divided our country, told so many lies. There must be a record of all that has happened, how many have (really) signed up for healthcare, did they know about Benghazzi, the IRS scandle and fast and furious gun running. Why can this not be proved? We may be headed for a civil war again, so hang on to your guns. That may be why is wanting us to give them up.

I believe that was part of the Original Agenda --And that's No Lie, I truly do.
Remember the old -Divided We Fall bit -

With all the assistant advisers ,the Czar's, and every other presidential helper that works for the President , Plus his 'supposed' extreme amount of education at some of the swankiest "over rated' schools in the country.
How could you be wrong as many times as the group who dominate the White House have been ? Unless its an Intended Agenda.

The old saying of You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all the time, nearly rings true where this man in the White House is involved.
But to get into his position of power, he only had to fool a majority of the people of the country. And we've found they are out there, these fools.
Now they are having to pay for not doing home work on what their vote would, and who their vote was going to create.

From watching the last years of the destruction ,I Thank God, I never was a Democrat and have no yen to want to be one
They are a company of people like Clinton, Castro Bros. and now Leland Yee in Ca. who has been involved with Gun Running / Muslim Radicals and San Francisco Little China Gang Lords. ---

By the way-The Sprint Com. in Temple have announced, they will be closing their doors to several positions. I know of at least 1 person, who has worked there over 10 years who will have to hit the streets looking for a new job to help support 2 young kids,
And spend another 10 years working themselves back into the pay grade they were receiving before being let go.

She's female ,so it isn't Republicans especially who have taken her job,
But the man in the White House, a Democrat , has had an enormous amount to do with it.
