To the Editor:

Upon reading about the closing of Texas Land and Cattle restaurant, that was disheartening enough, but to continue reading they lost the contract of lease because the land owner wants to put a car lot there made me sick.

That is all this town is made up of. Everywhere you turn, on nearly every main corner, is another car lot or fast food restaurant.

Why can’t the city of Killeen bring in other businesses or enterprises that will produce more opportunities of employment, better jobs?

Because this is a military town, do you think this is all we need — car lots, new and used, and fast food restaurants?
