To the Editor:
To the parents of the children on the northeast side of Killeen in regards to Halloween Night ; How can the kids learn the RULES when the parents don’t even mind them?
The city rules are, if the outside lights, porch lights and exterior security lighting is off, then DON’T approach the front door of that residence and be knocking and yelling ‘’Trick or Treat!‘’
The reason for that rule is that it is a clear indication that the residents of the home don’t want to be bothered and usually indicates that there is no treats to give out.
It could be the person at that residence is a diabetic and just doesn’t buy candy or sweets to eat, thus a valid reason not to purchase sweets,
Parents, educate yourselves and then educate your children.
If the lights are out, skip that house!
