To the Editor:

I am so disappointed in our KISD administration and school board.

They have three school facilities sitting empty, yet they want to pass a huge school bond to build three new ones.

Why not use what we have, enlarge and upgrade it,  instead of buying new property and building new buildings?

You have them already, so use them. With regards to the middle school, according to the newspaper, it will be located at the corner of FM 2410 and Warriors Path.

Did they actually come out and look at the property?

There is a successful commercial business already operating there, so they would have to be bought out and that would not be cheap.

Also, the terrain of the land would require a lot of dirt moving, which is also not cheap.

You might want to check and see if any of the administration or school board members are going to benefit financially by the purchase of new properties when we already own property that is not being used.

I say vote NO on the school bond and let’s look at changing our administration and school board.

This is the personal opinion of this writer.

It's the same old story: 'you can't see the forest for the trees.'

In many cases, it's the truth of the matter in that 'build something new instead of upgrading or replacing something that is existing.

Again I say, 'a 'NO' vote is to accompany this city's bond proposal for new roadways and bridge that will increase this city's annual budget requirements.
