To the Editor:

Saving Vive Les Arts Theatre:

Though the public has read about the money shortfall, it is not clear how dollars have been spent (actors, maintenance, production, management). Without that kind of financial disclosure, the public is hard pressed to support an operation that had somebody embezzle 120K, had infighting, and wants people to become last-minute members so they can vote, or as a last ditch effort has some attempting to crowd fund it without a portfolio.

In none of the many performances I have attended, was there ever an appeal to the public regarding the endangered status of VLA, or the need for more funds.

Without adequate advertising, more subleasing during dormant times and a clear fiscal plan, VLA will face its final curtain call.
