To the Editor:

We want to thank all the local volunteers who came to help with registration, welcoming evacuees, getting them to their cots and helping them find their way.

We want to thank the local police, sheriff, sheriff’s deputies and Fort Hood volunteers.

The donations from the neighborhood areas were overwhelming. The generosity was so heartening.

EMS, nurses, mental health workers were awesome, helping the clients for more hours than they were scheduled.

We want to thank (Bell County Commissioner) John Fisher, due to his outpouring of love for his community. He helped all of us during this confusing time.
