To the Editor:

I think if the KISD administration has $1 million to spend that it should be spent on something all of the kids can benefit from, not just the sports-minded.

After the school ratings in the paper today, I don’t think it is wise to spend that much money on a scoreboard when it is evident by the grades that the educational portion of the school is evidently lacking in something — or maybe it is administration that is lacking.

When three out of four high schools fail, one middle school fails and several elementary schools fail with a lot of the others having C’s and D’s, I think there is a problem with the decisions being made by administration, and paying $1 million for a scoreboard instead of using it to pay for educational needs is proof of that.
