To the Editor:

This week has revealed many things about the American people and most of them are good. When faced with tragedies such as Boston and West, we are very likely to put aside our partisan ideologies and help each other. The many who rushed to help the wounded and dying and showed that this country has a big heart has saved people’s lives.

The problem is that soon we will be back to the partisanship that is dividing us and preventing us from talking (as opposed to labeling) with each other.

Our severe misunderstandings are the work of too many who gain from keeping us at each other’s throats. The work of being a democratic republic is being undermined with every negative word we shout at each other. It is our choice and our freedom to continue this way or to say to all who benefit from our division that they can no longer get away with their tactic. We are a nation held together by the Constitution: the entire document with all its amendments.

My proposal is that we talk and honor and respect each other, not for our sameness but for our differences.

This is something we can choose to do and to start listening to the reasons we each hold the opinions we do. Then form a consensus on how to respond to them. Neither side should feel satisfied that it defeated the other but that we all have won something infinitely more important: A more American America.

The letter writer started off 'this time' with the nice words of describing the American people as mostly good.
But then ,the writer needed to follow that with the words , the problem is.

If the American people are Mostly good, that's about all anyone can expect .No where. has there ever been a perfect world .were everyone is good, that would be a robotic type world.
If you want to talk with someone about being good , talk to the liberal democrats who had members of their party state, NO GOD in our parties platform at their convention, and their theory of NO PROBLEM WITH ABORTIONS. I believe that is where there's need to talk and help these people realize their thoughts along these two subjects really need working on. These are not good thoughts to have.


A search of this webpage indicates that this preferred writer is associated with the Bell County Democratic Party and is the point of contact for their meetings. That perhaps explains why her letters are repeatedly printed here, to the exclusion of others. Her favored "Queen Bee" status in the county liberals grants he this status, which explains her numerous liberal rants mostly focused upon her desire to impose her rules over the rest of us, and placing herself in charge as the unopposed ruler of Bell County and anywhere else she can manage it. She has no problem demanding that those who oppose her views be quiet while she and her friends decide our "rights".

All Democrats should be required to read The Declaration of Independence:

In CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are LIFE, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…

Ms Truck seems to have missed that the Democratic Platform denies the right of LIFE to our youngest citizens. Democrats want less minorities in our country that Party has fought civil rights tooth and nail since the Civil War. Maybe that’s the reason the DNC supports the killing of your children; the majority of abortion mills are in minority neighborhoods.


Well, isn't this special. The Queen Bee of the Bell County Democratic party again appears in the paper spouting her rhoteric. Remember this?

I remember what you wrote-telling Americans to sit down and shut up while you and your fellow liberals decide what our rights are. Seems to me that you are either a liar or a hypocrite-but this piece of claptrap blows any credibility you may have had remaining.

I want to know how it is your views are repeatedly printed in the paper, seeing as you are the Queen Bee of the Bell County democrats, while conservative views from citizens are NOT being printed, giving you a powerful and biased voice. Until views other than yours are printed here-your phoney-baloney "editorial" press release by Bell County liberals doesn't fool me-ther can be no equality on anything.
