Pershing Park demo

Pershing Park Elementary School fifth-grader Thomas Butler is amused by Corbett Lawler's description of the clamp rural residents once used to control a recalcitrant milk cow. The Lawlers, who reside on family property in the Maxdale area south of Killeen, demonstrated tools and artifacts common to 19th century life in America on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013.

Tax Aide offers free income tax filing preparation

Free federal income tax preparation is being offered by Tax Aide until April 15. No state income tax will be prepared.

Bob Gilmore center announces activities

Chocolate is the ingredient for February’s cook-off. The contest begins at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Bob Gilmore Senior Center. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places.
