Area motorcyclists are invited to take part in a Ride for Veterans Wreaths, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Horny Toad Harley-Davidson in Temple.

The riders — who will be raising money to place wreaths on the grave of each soldier at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery during the holiday season — will travel from Temple to the cemetery, arriving around 10:30 a.m. At 10:55 a.m., the ceremony begins, featuring a speech by Command Sgt. Maj. Neil Ciotola.

Riders will depart the cemetery around 11:45 a.m., arriving back at Horny Toad Harley-Davidson around 12:15 p.m. for a barbecue lunch, live music, awards and a drawing.

Participants may register at 8 a.m. the day of the ride. Registration fee is $15, which includes a T-shirt, or $20, which includes a long-sleeve T-shirt. The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery. For more information, call Jean Shine at (254) 690-4321 or go to www.wreathsforvets.org.
