Scholarships given to three students

The MLK Commemoration Committee awarded three $1,000 scholarships at Monday’s event to:

  • Donisha Odoms, an Ellison High School senior who will be studying psychology at the University of North Texas.
  • Katelyn Smallwood, an Ellison High School senior who will be studying criminal justice at Sam Houston State University.
  • Ronald Clark II, a Killeen High School senior who will study biomedicine at Baylor University.

Rules of Conduct

  • 1 Keep it Clean. Please avoid obscene, vulgar, lewd, racist or sexually-oriented language.
  • 2 Don't Threaten or Abuse. Threats of harming another person will not be tolerated. AND PLEASE TURN OFF CAPS LOCK.
  • 3 Be Truthful. Don't knowingly lie about anyone or anything.
  • 4 Be Nice. No racism, sexism or any sort of -ism that is degrading to another person.

Fish fry to raise funds for Coats4Kids

A fish fry charity will be held at Killeen’s Long Branch Park, 1101 Branch Drive, at noon Sunday to raise funds for Coats4Kids, which supplies winter coats for children who need them.
