LAGO VISTA — Temple pushed Lago Vista the distance but couldn’t get over the hump as the Tem-Cats fell 17-25, 25-20, 25-19, 18-25, 15-8 Friday night.

“I want the girls to learn how to finish, but I’m proud of them for pushing through five games,” first-year Temple coach Courtney Mitchell said.

Tiffany Mays had 11 kills, Jule Henby recorded 18 assists and Jenna Green tallied 10 digs for the Tem-Cats (3-11).

“We did a lot of good things, we just have to learn how to finish,” Mitchell said.
