Horny Toad Harley-Davidson will be a stopping point of a different sort of rally.

Belton's home of Hogs will be a key stop along the Texas Football Classic Road Tour featuring legendary pigskin prognosticator Dave Campbell.

The former sports writer and current editor-in-chief of Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine - the 'bible of Texas football - will be among the famed motorcycles at 7 p.m. signing autographs and promoting the Texas Football Classic, a three-day, high school football kickoff weekend that features Belton against defending Division II-5A state champion Abilene on Aug. 27.

"When we initially decided to play in it, we didn't know where Abilene would be at that point," said Belton football coach and athletic director Rodney Southern. "Then for them to win a state championship and for us to be able to play the defending state champion and the fact that there is a lot of exposure that comes with being a part of their classic game and we're going to get a little taste of that, hopefully (tonight).

"It's exciting. Hopefully, it's exciting for our community and for our kids."
