The Harker Heights boys had already locked up their third consecutive district crown, but they saved the best for last in a 13-4 victory over Ellison to remain undefeated.

In the second team game, Justin Rogers, Ryan Everett, Tim Rackley, Adarius Stanford and Javon Stanford fired 12 straight strikes for a perfect 300 game.

It was the first perfect game of any kind in nine years in district play and may have been the first perfect team game in the nine-year history of the Texas High School Bowling Club.

The Knights had 17 consecutive strikes from the end of the first game to early in the third game.

Heights led 5-2 after match play, then won the first two team games to seal the victory. Tim Rackley averaged 223 and Adarius Stanford 210 to lead the Knights.

Quentin Hewitt and Denzell Amos topped the scoring for the Eagles to finished third at 6-4.

In that second game, Ellison matched Heights with six straight strikes to start the game and finished with nine of 12 strikes.

Lady Knights claim district crown

It was supposed to be a rebuilding year for the Harker Heights Lady Knights.

Tuesday at Hallmark Lanes, they put that expectation to rest with a dominating 15-2 victory over Ellison's Lady Eagles to capture their second straight district crown.

Katie Truhitte averaged 207 to lead Heights to a 5-2 lead after match play.

The Lady Knights then averaged 182 to sweep the team games for the final score.

Heights finished the season 9-1.

Cindy Gill and Amanda Taylor led the Lady Eagles, who finished in second place at 8-2.

Harker Heights, Copperas Cove and Ellison boys as well as Harker Heights, Ellison and Shoemaker girls will represent the district in the Region V team tournament this weekend at Hallmark Lanes.

In the Singles tournament, Louis Barragan of Copperas Cove, Adarius Stanford, Tim Rackley and Javon Stanford of Harker Heights, and Drake Revels of Ellison will compete for the boys.
