Omar Craddock, a graduate of Richard Milburn Academy in Killeen and a former University of Florida star, placed second in the triple jump Saturday at the Armory Track Invitational in New York.

Craddock, competing for the Jump Corps track club, posted an indoors personal-best distance of 55 feet, 4¼ inches, just 2 inches behind winner Will Claye, an Olympic silver medalist and Craddock’s former teammate with the Gators.

The jump ranks Craddock No. 2 on the 2015 IAAF world list, behind Claye.
