Marcus Anderson II, Harker Heights RB (So.): Filling in due to injury, Anderson rushed 71 times for 436 yards and five touchdowns to earn the District 12-5A Offensive Newcomer of the Year award.Kaleb Hardy, Florence QB (Jr.): After a year on JV, Hardy made the most of his opportunity, combining for 23 total touchdowns. Not only an effective passer, Hardy was a dual-threat option, scoring 14 times on the ground. Darius James, Harker Heights OL/DL (Jr.): Playing considerable time on both sides of the ball, the big-bodied James (6-foot-5, 320 pounds) saw time at nearly every position along the offensive line while also continuing to wreck havoc whenever he played defensive tackle.
Johnny Jefferson, Shoemaker RB (Jr.): Jefferson was no secret this season but who wouldve thought the running back with 4.4-second speed could also play quarterback. He ran for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, and had scoring runs of 61, 19, 49 and 30 to go along with a 25-yard touchdown pass in the Grey Wolves win over Ellison in the regular season finale.
