ELM MOTT — It wasn’t Sarah Goode’s first trip to Victory Lane, but four years had passed since the last one.

Goode, racing out of Copperas Cove, put on a driving clinic at Heart O’ Texas Speedway Friday night and won the IMCA Southern SportMod feature race by 10 car lengths.

Starting from the pole, Goode shot her pink and white No. 13 to the front, quickly running away from the 21-car field and led all 20 circuits.

Goode’s last win was in 2011 at Texas Thunder Speedway. Friday’s triumph was her third overall and first at Heart O’ Texas.
