After a long absence from Victory Lane, Harker Heights racer Damian Snyder made it back to the winner’s circle Friday night with his win in the IMCA Hobby Stock feature race at Heart O’Texas Speedway in Elm Mott.

Snyder started seventh in a nine-car field and slowly picked off opponents while working his way forward over the first nine laps of a 15-circuit event.  On lap 10, Snyder caught up with race leader Shannon Dulock and slid under him at turn four to take over the top spot.  The two dueled furiously over the final five laps, with Snyder holding off the track points leader.

In the IMCA Southern SportMod main event, Gatesville racer Sid Kiphen was awarded the victory when Salado driver G.W. Egbert IV was disqualified after taking the checkered flag.
