Ojai Black scored a season-high 31 points and hit 8-of-8 from the charity stripe in the final 1½ minutes to power Ellison to an 84-82 victory at Temple, allowing the Eagles to remain in the District 12-5A hunt.

"It was huge. He showed some flashes of (former Eagle standout) Devonte (Brown) late ... tonight he kind of demanded (the ball)," Ellison coach Alberto Jones said. "If he was guarded, he made sure he got open to get the ball, and once he got it, he attacked the basket."

Black wasn't alone though as Ellison (14-9, 3-1) had four players in double figures to best Temple's top four. Eagles junior Malik Hawkins scored 23 points in his return after missing last week with the flu, while Felix Marbury and James Jessie added 12 and 10, respectively.

Lometa 41, Rochelle 32 - At Rochelle, Hector Rivera scored 19 points to lead Lometa to its second straight win.
