Copperas Cove 17, Shoemaker 0, 4 inn. - Kinzi Courtney was 4-for-4 with a pair of triples and four RBIs and the Lady Dawgs cruised to a victory on the road.

Carlee Duran (3-for-3, two doubles, two RBIs) and Destiny Henderson (2-for-3, three RBIs) also had big games at the plate for Cove (16-9, 4-5 12-5A). Katelynn Stephens (three innings, five strikeouts) and Duran combined for a one-hit shutout.

A&M Consolidated 13, Harker Heights 3, 5 inn. - At College Station, Taylor Oberg was 3-for-3 with three RBIs to lead the Lady Tigers to a run-rule victory over the Lady Knights.

Consolidated (8-17, 7-2 12-5A) did the bulk of its damage in an 11-run third inning.

The Lady Knights (5-12, 2-7) scored all their runs in the top of the fifth, with two coming on a double by Regan McIlvenna. Courtney Luedecking had two of Heights' three hits.

Thorndale 16, Florence 5 - At Florence, the Lady Bulldogs capitalized on 11 Florence errors and a seven-run second inning to beat the winless Lady Buffaloes.

Despite the loss, it was one of Florence's best offensive performances of the season. Freshman Taylor Navarette tripled in a run and scored on Berenice Ramirez's single in the third inning.

The Lady Buffs (0-15, 0-10 27-2A) added three more runs in the third, including a bases-loaded walk by Navarette, to cut Thorndale's 10-0 lead in half.

Bryan 4, Ellison 2 - The district-leading Vikings used an Ellison error in the third inning to retake the lead and hold on for a victory.

It was a Bryan error that gave the Lady Eagles a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the second after Brianna Sanchez singled and Felicia Camargo walked. Sanchez danced out to a big lead at second on a pitch and the Lady Vikings (21-3, 8-1 12-5A) tried to pick her off, but the throw wound up at the outfield fence and both runners scored.

Ellison (4-5 12-5A) dropped into a three-way tie for fourth with Copperas Cove and Belton.

Harker Heights 6, Shoemaker 2 - At Shoemaker, Stefan Flores was 2-for-3 at the plate and had a pair of RBIs as the Knights picked up a win over the Grey Wolves.

Tyler Keller had a home run and Zach Moseley picked up the win on the mound for Harker Heights (12-6-1, 5-3 12-5A). Moseley pitched a complete game, striking out five and giving up only three hits and two walks.

Salado 4, Llano 3 - At Llano, the Eagles remained undefeated in District 34-4A play and travel to Liberty Hill on Thursday to face the Panthers, who are also 4-0 carry a 4-0 district record.
