Spouses earn spurs

Ivonne Ayala flips a tire during the obstacle course portion of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division’s Spouse’s Spur Ride at the Warrior Skills Training Center on Nov. 7. The event included five stations in which the unit’s spouse’s conducted physical training; conducted weapons familiarization with the M-9, M-4, and M-240B; assembled and disassembled the M-9, M-4, and M-240; completed a scenario at the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000; and negotiated an obstacle course.

Public input sought on special education services

Representatives from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services and the Texas Education Agency will conduct a series of listening sessions in Texas during the week of Dec. 12, according to a news release from the Department of Education.
