Spouses earn spurs

Ivonne Ayala throws a grenade during the obstacle course portion of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division’s Spouse’s Spur Ride at the Warrior Skills Training Center on Nov. 7. Ivonne is the spouse of Capt. Jesus Ayala, of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. The event included five stations in which the unit’s spouse’s conducted physical training; conducted weapons familiarization with the M-9, M-4, and M-240B; assembled and disassembled the M-9, M-4, and M-240; completed a scenario at the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000; and negotiated an obstacle course.
