Two CCISD schools evacuated due to bomb threats

The Copperas Cove High School and S.C. Lee Junior High School students are being evacuated due to bomb threats, according to information on the district's Facebook page.

Parents have been notified.

    School was also cancelled for Wednesday... After multiple threats, why are they cancelling school all of the sudden? I was very alarmed by the late night phone call alerting me to school being cancelled.

Petco awards grant to Killeen Animal Services

Killeen Animal Services announced Wednesday it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Petco Foundation to support funding that will be used to aid the Killeen shelter’s ongoing spay and neuter program and the care of animals that can be entered into the adoption program.
