Acicelean Kyra Jones and Ra-Shaun Andremichael Thomas were united in marriage on Jan. 17, 2015, at the Chrystal Ballroom in Casselberry, Fla. The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Idell and Johnnie Jones of Jacksonville, N.C., in a ceremony officiated by the Rev. Donna Patterson.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a certified senior professional in human resources. She is employed as a project manager with Kronos Incorporated.
The groom is the son of Lenore Richardson of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Douglas Thomas of New York, N.Y. He is a 1999 graduate of Franklin High School in Franklin, N.J., and attended Voorhees College. He currently serves in the U.S. Army.
The maid of honor was Ryan Lia McClain of Charlotte, N.C. The bridesmaids were Lindsay Joyner of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Shunita Averett of Atlanta, Ga.; Teresa Carvajal of Eden Prairie, Minn.; and Ebonie Jones of Raeford, N.C.
The flower girl was Adriaini Carvajel of Eden Prairie, Minn., and the ring bearer was Christopher Grant of Jonesboro, Ga.
The best man was Jermaine Davis of Orlando, Fla. The groomsmen were Jemille Hurtt of Plainfield, N.J.; Antonio Grier of Killeen; and Ricko Jones of Raeford, N.C.
A reception followed at the Chrystal Ballroom. Music for the ceremony and reception was provided by DJ Leo Davis.
The couple took a cruise to the Bahamas for their wedding trip. They reside in Killeen.
