Killeen last week issued 11 permits for new single-family homes. Five of those permits were for homes on West Orion Drive in south Killeen.

Killeen officials last week issued 11 permits for new single-family homes; they were valued at $1.8 million.

Of the 11 permits, Saratoga Homes received nine, each valued near $150,000 or more, for a total value of $1.52 million.

Five of the nine homes are being built on West Orion Drive, three are on Vega Lane, and one is on Gemini Lane.

One permit was issued to Centex Pulte Homes Inc. worth $153,904 for a home on East Vega Lane, and the other was issued to Barnes Homebuilders for a home on Screaming Eagle Circle valued at $120,000.

Remodeling permits for single-family and multifamily homes totaled $792,996.Compass Bank on East Central Texas Expressway received a permit for a $42,500 addition.

Harker Heights

The city issued 89 permits totaling $1.08 million last week, including two permits for new single-family homes.

A permit for a $181,990 home on Olive Lane was issued to Austin-based Centex/Pulte Group.

The other permit was issued to Austin-based Ashton Woods Homes for a $182,206 home on Vineyard Trail.

The city also issued 57 reroofing permits valued at $447,223.

Copperas Cove

Cove issued 65 permits totaling $279,933, including 24 reroofing permits valued at $200,394.
