Make it 4-for-4 for Jaci McGregor.

The Salado cross country star and defending Class 4A state champion added another victory to her senior resume, winning her session of the McNeil Invitational on Saturday at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock.

This victory was a bit more challenging, with the Lady Eagles competing in the large-school division with schools like Round Rock Stony Point and Leander over a longer 5-kilometer course.

McGregor finished in 19 minutes and 10 seconds. Salado finished third of eight in the team standings.

Other runners for the Lady Eagles were Anna Lesley (15th, 21:49), Ellie Mescher (21st, 22:32), Kate Neas (23rd, 22:40), Natalie Burleson (25th, 22:46) and Lydia Craig (30th, 23:07).

The large-school division was divided into three sessions to comply with UIL COVID-19 guidelines limiting the number of runners per race.

There were 57 runners in Salado's session. McGregor's time was third-best overall. Two runners in the second session finished under 19 minutes.
