First United Methodist Church in Killeen will present “A Walk Through Bethlehem” and “A Living Nativity” at Methodist Park off Cunningham Road, adjacent to the church.

The events are free, but a donation of a canned good per person over the age of 5 is requested.

‘A Walk Through Bethlehem’

The story takes place in Bethlehem in 5 to 7 B.C. and presents the events occurring before the birth of Christ.

Visitors to Bethlehem will be able to observe a Jewish family in their home; see a Jewish meal being prepared; listen to prayer activities in a Jewish synagogue; tour the Marketplace; tour an Inn and eat Jewish treats; watch a blacksmith at work; and see carpenters at work in the stable.

It will be presented from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Dec. 9.

‘The Living Nativity’

Visitors will witness scenes leading up to the birth of Christ.

They will see Gabriel visit with Mary and Joseph to inform them they will be Christ’s earthly parents, go to Jerusalem where the Magi have a run-in with Herod while seeking the Christ Child, see shepherds on a hill being visited by an angel, and watch as Mary and Joseph enter Bethlehem and witness the birth of Christ.

It will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, 5 p.m. Dec. 4 and at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10.
