Nolanville Vaccinations

Nolanville Police Department detective Zachary Oeller was on site Wednesday at the city's first COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The city of Nolanville is teaming up with the Texas Emergency Management Division and the Texas National Guard for a free coronavirus vaccine clinic that is open to the public.

The vaccine clinic is a walk-in only event from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Bell County Fire & Rescue, 84 North Main St., Nolanville.

“The City pursued this after hour administration of the vaccine to assist in the availability for those constrained by work or school,” City Manager Kara Escajeda said via email.

Medics with the National Guard will administer the Moderna vaccine, and recipients can get either the first or the second dose.

The city intends to hold the vaccine clinics on Wednesdays throughout the month of May and June.

Those needing a coronavirus test can also get it done at the volunteer fire department from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays through May.

Walmart and Sam’s Club have also announced that vaccines are available for walk-in patients as well as by appointment.

Walmart pharmacies are open seven days a week. Sam’s Club pharmacies are closed on Sundays.

“Individuals are not required to be a member to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at Sam’s Club,” a news release from the company said.

Across the state, vaccine providers administer either the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Some providers are listed below. Some can be found on the Texas Department of State Health Services website, and others are designated providers through the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. Availability is dependent on supply.
