The Texas Department of State Health Services is now reporting over 159,000 coronavirus cases as of Tuesday as numbers increased by more than 6,900 from Monday.

The state also reported a total 2,424 fatalities, an additional 21 fatalities since Monday.

Here is the Texas coronavirus daily report for Tuesday as of 4 p.m.

Currently, 244 of 254 counties in the state have reported positive cases.

84,818: Estimated* recoveries

72,744: Estimated* active cases

2,061,939: Total tests (as of June 29)

187,535: Antibody tests (as of June 28)

1,819,189: Viral tests (as of June 28)

*Recoveries and active cases are estimated based on several assumptions related to hospitalization rates and recovery times. The estimates do not include data from any cases reported prior to March 24.
