Christmas is just one week away and area city officials have announced office closures.

KILLEEN

City of Killeen offices will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday in observance of Christmas holidays.

Emergency services will operate without interruption, said Hilary Shine in a Wednesday afternoon press release.

“Trash collection will follow regular schedules, but Solid Waste Services offices, Killeen Recycle Center and Killeen Transfer Station will be closed both days,” Shine said.

Libraries, senior centers, recreation centers and the Killeen Animal Shelter will be closed.

All Killeen city offices will reopen for normal business hours on Thursday.

Harker Heights

Harker Heights City Hall will be closed noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday and all day Wednesday for the Christmas holiday.

Normal business hours will resume at 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26.

The Stewart C. Meyer Harker Heights Public Library will be closed Wednesday for the holiday. The library will resume regular business hours at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday or Jan. 1. All routes after will be on a one-day delay.

Harker Heights City Hall will also be closed noon to 5 p.m. Dec. 31 and all day Jan. 1. Normal business hours will resume Jan. 2 at 8:00am.

Nolanville

The Nolanville City Hall will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen Thursday. The Economic Development Committee board meeting for Thursday is canceled.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday or Jan. 1. All routes after will be on a one-day delay. Friday and Saturday routes will both be collected on Saturday and Jan. 4.

Copperas Cove

The Copperas Cove City Hall will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. Offices will also be closed Jan. 1.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday. All routes after will be on a one-day delay.

The Copperas Cove Public Library will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

Fort Hood

Most soldiers will have a two-day holiday (Dec. 24 and 25).

Kempner

The Kempner City Hall will be closed all day Tuesday through Dec. 27. City offices will reopen at 9 a.m. Dec. 30. City offices will also be closed all day Dec. 31 through Jan. 2. They will reopen Jan. 3 at 9 a.m.

Residents should contact their trash provider to check if there will be any effect on trash collection.

Lampasas

The Lampasas City Hall and library will be closed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen Thursday.

Offices will also be closed Jan. 1.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday. All routes after will be on a one-day delay.

Gatesville

The Gatesville City Hall and library will be closed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. City Hall will also be closed Jan. 1.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday. All routes after will be on a one-day delay.

Florence

The Florence City Hall will close at 1 p.m. Tuesday and will remain closed all day Wednesday and Thursday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday.

City offices will also be closed Jan. 1.

The holiday schedule will not affect trash collection.

Belton

The Belton City Hall will be closed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. Offices will also be closed Jan. 1.

Trash will not be collected Wednesday. All routes after will be on a one-day delay.

Salado

The Salado City Hall will be closed all day Tuesday and Wednesday. City offices will reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. Offices will also be closed Jan. 1.

Residents should contact their trash provider to check if there will be any effect on trash collection.
