Fire - burn

A burn ban for Coryell County has been lifted, effective immediately, county officials announced on Thursday.

The ban was instituted Sept. 28, in response to hazardously dry conditions, and had banned the outdoor burning of brush, trash and debris in the unincorporated parts of Coryell County.

A burn ban in Bell County was lifted last week.
