Sandstone shooting

One resident shows how last Friday's shooting caused damage to their home.

A late Saturday night shooting in Killeen didn’t leave any confirmed injuries but has caused damage to a home and one vehicle, one resident said.

On Oct. 5, police were called to the 1800 block of Sandstone Drive on reports of shooting.

One resident who lives close to where the incident occurred, told the Herald one of the bullets hit her home and caused damage. She asked that her name not be used to protect her identity from whomever may have done the shooting.

“This is the second shooting we had here in months. Prior to six months ago, this neighborhood was quiet. Now, we’re getting afraid,” she said. “The police should look at who they were shooting at and get them off our streets.”

The Killeen Police Department through email confirmed there is an open investigation on the shooting and “would like to thank the citizens that provided us with information to this date.”

“If anyone else has information that could assist we would appreciate if they would contact us,” said Ronnie Supak, a KPD commander.
