A team of assessors from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc., will arrive in Killeen Monday to examine the Killeen Police Department’s administration, personnel, operations and support services.

As part of the assessment, agency personnel and the public are invited to offer comments at a public information session at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the City Hall council chambers, 101 N. College St.

Those unable to attend and would still like to comment, an unrecorded dedicated line will be provided from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday by calling 254-501-8970.

According to a KPD press release, telephone or public comments are limited to 10 minutes each and “must address the agency’s ability to comply” with Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies standards. | 254-501-7567
