Rose Short performs Blake Shelton's "God's Country" on "The Voice."

After singing Blake Shelton’s “God’s Country” on Monday night, Killeen resident Rose Short has moved on to the semifinals of “The Voice.”

Moving on means she is one of only eight contestants remaining on the NBC-TV show.

On Tuesday, host Carson Daly announced the two contestants who received the most votes from American viewers, and Short was one of them.

Catch Short on “The Voice” on NBC Monday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 8 p.m. The show airs locally on KCEN-TV.
