A trial that had been set to begin today was reset to a pretrial hearing next year for a former Killeen Police Department officer who was accused of abusing her stepson in February.
Sarah Hydorn is accused of leaving bruises and fingernail marks on one of her stepsons, according to documents obtained from the district clerk’s office.
She was indicted on June 12 by a Bell County grand jury on a charge of injury to a child.
“A new attorney substituted in on Sarah Hydorn and the case is now set for pretrial on January 30, 2020,” said Bell County First Assistant District Attorney Paul McWilliams.
Hydorn resigned from the department over the summer. She has been out of jail since being released on a $25,000 bond, according to court records.
