I worked with Ida at F. W. Woolworth back in 1969-70.
She was always very pleasant and helpful. Everybody loved her. She was the personnel manager. I had just graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor and was offered a
full time job as an assistant manager by Max- the General Manager. Regrettably I
declined his offer, and I have often thought about Ida over the years. She introduced
me to her son and daughter at one time, and they were just like her ! Very thoughtful and kind. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I can still see her smiling face. Hopefully we will meet again.
