Francoise Odette Angele Champagnard McMahon

Born to Pierre & Angele Champagnard in Beaune, France; Francoise was an interpreter during WWII when she met her husband.  They moved to Copperas Cove, TX in 1964.  She volunteered on Ft. Hood, at Darnall Hospital, and in Cove libraries.  A voracious reader full of knowledge, she often had a book in hand and a cat on her lap.  Preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, and two daughters: Claudine Box of Gatesville and Christine Warren of Copperas Cove. Survivors: husband of 73 years, LTCOL (Ret.) Patrick B. McMahon of Copperas Cove & Briggsville, WI; daughter, Catherine McMahon-Rousseau of Pagny la Ville, France; grandchildren, Francine (Rick) Dalton of Plano, TX; Marie-Celine (Chris) Murawski of Randolph AFB, TX; Stephanie (Taylor) Dees of Raleigh, NC; Damian Box of TX and eight great-grandchildren.  Services were held April 2, 2020 at Eglise Saint Leger in Pagny la Ville France.
