Do you think the city of Killeen should make it a priority to build a larger animal shelter?

No. There are homeless in our streets, but do we really want to take care of stray animals? I'm an animal lover, especially dogs. But I believe we should take care of our homeless. Why are we having this animal problem? I was told my pets had to get microchips to be identified when they went missing, i thought that was the law. Who or what agency is monitoring that? And why make citizens pay for something that is not being used? I was also told by city ordinance to nurtur or castrate my pet unless they were for breeding. Again money spent unwisely. Again No, a larger pet shelter, will only bring more stray animals to maintain, feed and give all proper shots. Thus costing more tax payers money.
